What will become of my life?
I live in the tension between here and away. Between home and the wider world.
In search of the kind of man I want to be. In search of the kind of father I want to be. In search of what the life looks like in which I can develop into the man and father I know is within me.
I sometimes met him already. Not often he dares to appear.
The father I want to be is emotionally present, no matter where he happens to be. The father I want to be is fully present when he is physically present. The father I want to be is curious about who my child developes to become. The father I want to be encourages his child to keep becoming and to develop their own criteria by which they themselves judge what success in their life means. No one else!
The man I want to be does what he says. The man I want to be tries to change what is harmful to life. The man I want to be does not criticise people, but structures. The man I want to be follows his breath. The man I want to be makes his mind the strongest ally of his heart. The man I want to be speaks his truth publicly. The man I want to be runs towards his problems.
The father wants to go home, the man must go out into the world!
The father wants community on the farm. The man wants to drive direct democracy and write articles about the world.
